Try these cocoa bliss balls – they definitely hit the spot if you’re in need of a chocolate hit, whilst on a low FODMAP, low sugar, SIBO diet.
These bliss balls have been carefully designed to support your gut health. Packed with nourishing ingredients like Brazil nuts, Macadamia nuts, cocoa and coconut oil, these bliss balls are gentle on your digestive system while providing a burst of energy and delicious taste.
Ingredients:
- 100g Macadamia nuts
- 50g Hazelnuts
- 50g Brazil nuts
- 60g Dark chocolate, grated
- 4 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
- pinch salt
- 1/2 tsp orange essence (optional)
- Topping: desiccated coconut, crushed hazelnuts, hemp seeds or cocoa powder.
Method:
- Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend together until combined and the mixture starts to stick together.
- Roll 1 tablespoon of mixture into a ball, and place on a tray. Repeat until you have rolled all of the mixture.
- Garnish by rolling the balls in crushed hazelnuts, cocoa powder or desiccated coconut.
- Place in the fridge for 10 minutes to firm up.
- Will keep for 4 days in the fridge. 3 balls is a low FODMAP portion.
